This year’s festival saw a great turnout of loyal supporters and newcomers alike, despite a not-so-pleasant forecast. Festivalgoers braved rain and chilly temperatures to savor classic favorites like Master Chef Paul Elbling’s Salmon Coulibiac or Chef Sean’s Gumbo Ya Ya and new delights like Chef Michael’s Poutine or Chef Sara’s Raspberry Almond Sponge Cake. The festivities included fabulous live music from groups like the Upper East Side Big Band as well as entertaining performances from Jonathon the Juggler and balloon animals from RVA Balloons. This year we received sponsorships dedicated to providing meal vouchers for our lovely Residents and Sisters, so they could sample some of the delicious offerings. We are so thankful to all our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and those who braved the weather to support the Little Sisters of the Poor. All proceeds go to the home to continue the loving care of each and every one of our wonderful Residents.
