As many of you may know, Richmond was the site of the 2015 UCI Road World Championship. The cycling event brought in thousands of visitors to our city from all over the world, bumping us onto the world’s stage and broadcasting city landmarks internationally. To coincide with the races the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart hosted their International Food Festival on Saturday, September 26th, and had very graciously invited us to participate to raise awareness for our own RVA French Food Festival. We were blessed to have Chef Michael McClure and Chef Sean Murphy donate their time once again to prepare their signature dishes from the French Food Festival and take part in this great event. It was a chilly, rainy day, but our steaming hot dishes sure helped warm festivalgoers and even a passing biker or two! Along with Chef Michael’s ratatouille and Chef Sean’s beignets, we served chocolate mousse cups, fresh baked baguettes, as well as French wine and wine slushies. We are so grateful to our friends at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart for including us in this wonderful event and for all of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making that day possible. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many members of the Catholic community and to serve some Richmonders and tourists alike some delicious French food!
