Our Staff and Volunteers did Independence Day right, per usual, for the Residents and their families. The celebrations lasted all day keeping the Residents smiling and happy. The festivities were all sorts of fun featuring excellent entertainment that included all the music that our Residents love.
According to Sr. Colette, the Home had “the best Fourth of July party yet. The food was delicious; the hamburgers the best ever. They were real hamburgers, soft, moist and so well done. Someone said French Style! Chef Alain did a great job and his desire to make a real home-style Fourth of July, on the Fourth, for our Residents was more than greatly appreciated.”
For Mass, Sr. Jeanne Emmanuel played all-American hymns. Visitors were so happy with the festive surprise and of course the Resident Choir sang beautifully.
All of us here at the Home want to include a special thank you to all of our service men and women, past, present, and future, and their families for their undying devotion to this great country of ours. Freedom is not free, but you make it possible. We celebrated our American Independence on this day because of you.
