On October 3, the Little Sisters announced the winner of the 2013 Jeanne Jugan Award as nominated by the employees and voted on by the Sisters. This year’s winner is our Dietary Porter, Barbara Parker, who has been with the Little Sisters for twelve years.
The Jeanne Jugan award was created to recognize those employees who go above and beyond as they carry out the mission of the Little Sisters at our Home. The award honors one employee every year who exemplifies those characteristics most like Jeanne Jugan in the spirit of humble service to the elderly poor. These employees show exemplary dedication, service, and loyalty to the Little Sisters and excel at our number one goal: making the Residents happy.
Barbara is a delight to have at our Home. With her warm, cheery smile, kind eyes, and big hugs, Barbara knows how to brighten anyone’s day. Not only is she a positive person to have around, but she is also a super hard worker who is always willing to pitch in.
Congratulations Barbara on your award. It is much deserved!
