Journey through the Admissions process

Our goal is to provide a loving home for the elderly who need long-term care, but cannot afford the cost of comparable care elsewhere. The admission process begins with a phone call to our Admissions Coordinator, Alicia Schultes at (804) 377-4611. Following a brief telephone interview, she will send you information about our Home and a questionnaire that will ask for some preliminary information about your:

  • financial situation
  • current living situation
  • current medical needs

If you meet our age and low-income requirements and your medical needs are within our ability to provide care, you will be placed in our waiting pool.

When the appropriate time comes, we invite you and a family member to meet with us in person and tour our Home. This interview is our way of ensuring that we can provide the care you deserve, and also give you a sense of what it would feel like to make this your home.

When we have an opening in one of our assisted living or nursing care rooms, we look first to our current Residents to determine if anyone needs a higher level of assistance. When all of our Residents are appropriately placed, we open the available room to those in our waiting pool.

We recognize the great need for senior living and care that is affordable. It is our goal to help as many individuals as possible and to offer suggestions to those we cannot help on how to continue their search.

Please contact our Admissions office if you have any questions.
